Sarah Palin again denies to Politico that her marriage is in jeopardy

Bizarre: Sarah Palin calls Politico to emphasize validity of her marriage

Mike Allen's Playbook -- on Politico -- is a daily read on Capitol Hill. It's obvious, then, why a politico would want to be quoted in it.

But an entry Wednesday morning contains a strange string of quotations from conservative doyenne and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin -- denying that her marriage is in jeopardy, a blog claim that came out last Saturday.

"Good Wednesday morning," Allen wrote. "SARAH PALIN told Playbook in a brief phone call from New York City last night that she is NOT getting divorced and that she and Todd have been talking about “our future together.”

"'Do you want to talk to Todd?' she asked. 'He’s sitting right next to me.'"

But, Allen, adds, "He didn’t come on the line. Sounding gushy as ever, the former governor called widespread blogosphere reports of a possible split “made up” and quipped that she loves finding out “what’s goin’ on in my life from the news.” Palin said her upcoming book will convey a “pioneering spirit” and will “inspire those doing battle in their own lives.” She said she and the family had been doing “fun kids’ things” during her trip to Manhattan to meet with her publisher, HarperCollins Publishers."
